What do you do while you are not designing?
Read. Pottery. Watercolors. Pastels.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A pediatrician. Then an astronaut. Then an artist. As a child, I decided I didn't want to be an astronaut when I found out they had to get a lot of shots. And I didn't want to be a pediatrician when I found out they had to give a lot of shots. I had a thing about shots when I was a little. Now I'm a blood donor.
Do you dream in color?
I dream in a 4-color process. Plus a varnish.
What do you think about beige?
Overrated. The word even sounds boring. I prefer taupe.
Do you collect anything?
Home Depot receipts. My husband is quite the remodeler.
What are your thoughts on judging a book by its cover?
When choosing a book to read, absolutely. When choosing a bottle of wine, absolutely not.
If you could choose one special power, what would it be?
The power to keep my crazy dog from barking at the neighbors.
Last book you read:
Marley & Me
What/who inspires you?
People who are good at what they do and can share that talent and success to help others.
Lincoln Logs or Legos?
Definitely Legos.
